Happy Halloween

We had our family pictures done this year before the snow fell. I love the fall colors and I think these are great of our family!!!

I was excited about Zachary's first Halloween, but I couldn't find a moose costume!!! Next year grandma will make it!!! So this year he is a little tiger! We tried to carve pumpkins, but Zachary didn't want anything to do with it... He would just give me this look like"really you want me to touch that?" Anyway, I had fun. Happy Halloween!!!

When you realize your life has changed...

As I sit here and listen to Zach's little sleeping noises, I wonder how I ever felt like I had a full and complete life. I can't imagine what life would be like without my two boys. Zach has brought so many new experiences to our life and our way of living. The simple things that he finds amusing, the little ways he can totally change your mood when you walk in the door and see that big toothless grin! I don't know what we did before we had him around to entertain us with the cute little smiles, the funny little ways he watches Jason and I, the way he learns from us, I never thought parenthood would change me so much. Then again I guess this is just one of the little stepping stones of continuing to grow up myself.

Zach is 3 months old now! I can't believe how fast time flies! He is one little busy body! He loves daddy and can't wait for the 4 wheeler rides that Jason takes him on. he falls asleep almost every time! He is smiling constantly now, and he is pretty stingy with the giggles... They happen every once in a while for the most random reasons, but they are few are far between... He is able to roll from his belly to his back, and almost back to belly but he gets hung up on that arm getting pinned underneath him.

I have had the opportunity to be a stay at home mom for the last 3 weeks, and I have loved every minute. The company I worked for did a layoff of all employee's as they are trying to decide if they should close up shop. It was unfortunate, but almost a blessing in disguise. I have had so much fun being with him and just watching him grow everyday. For now I am still looking for another job, but I am taking my time too!
OK- some new pictures- no particular order...
Zach was helping make homemade raspberry jam, and well I guess he wasn't that interested in it! He was so sound asleep, I had to move him though, who can sleep like that?!?!
Jason had Zach sitting in his jeep, and somehow he spooked Zach and this is the face I caught! So sad, yet so cute!
My big boy always sleeps with the arms up! This one just happened to land across his cute little face!
Zach and daddy! I love those cute little sunglasses!
Zachary is quite the little lucky charm... Jason had Zach on the front, a fishing pole in one hand and a drink in the other... he caught more fish that way!
We have loved this summer!!! Lots of warm days, and that means lots of time outside! Jason would load Zach up and take him for walks in the wagon, and Zach just seemed to love it. I made him stuff him in his boppy pillow though because I didn't want his little head bobbling around.
Zachary's Great Grandparents, his Grandma, and his Aunt and mom. I love generation pictures!!! Great Grandpa was pretty proud of little Zach too. He wanted to hold him 24/7! I love it!!!

The Little World Traveler

Zach has been more places than I think most 6 week old infants should go... He was born May 26th, and a week later we went to Valdez, Alaska camping and fishing. Then we went to Anchorage, Alaska a week after that to buy Jason the best Birthday/Father's Day present ever! (more on that later) Then 2 weeks later we left Alaska and headed to Utah. He flew thru Denver, Colorado, landed in Utah, and then we headed for the border and went to Idaho 2 different times! How many kids can say they have been in 4 different states by this age???

He was a great traveler! He slept most the way to Utah and really didn't make a peep! Once we got to Utah was a different story. Zach is a polar bear... He doesn't handle hot weather too well! He would look so lethargic and just so sick on the days he was out in the heat... I felt terrible for the little guy! but we went to the cabin in Cub River and got a little tiny swimming pool and it all seemed to help tons!!! He did great as long as he was 70 degrees or cooler!

We had a great time visiting all the family and friends, and Zach has met just about everyone! I miss everyone back home, but it sure was nice to get back to North Pole! Daddy missed us a little too!!!

Lets play catch up!

So I know that I have been really bad about updating the blog ever since I had Zachary, but I just get so carried away with him, that I forget about the rest of the world! Anyway, I will play catch up tonight and try and get you updated... These posts are in no particular order, so enjoy!!

Zachary is Jason's little boy!!!
This is Jason's baby picture, and as you can see Zachary got just a few of Daddy's traits!!!
We had Zach's baby pictures done!!! We waited a little longer than I had planned, but I still think they are adorable!!! We had a lady named Shay take them out on the air force base, and she did a fantastic job! Here are just a few samples (more to come later!!) There are lots of cute ones, but only a few of him actually asleep! Little stink didn't want to miss anything I guess!!!

Pregnant Forever?!?!

40 weeks and swollen feet!
I made my own redneck ice packs with 2 bags of corn, bungee cords, and my flip flop slippers. Underneath those bags of corn are terrible Cankles!
I think I am going to be pregnant forever!!!!

I sure hope this little guy decides to arrive soon!
Maybe he decided he wanted to be a June baby...

38 + weeks

BE WARNED!!!!!!! This Rant is from a pregnant lady on her last straw!!!

First and foremost, I have loved being pregnant! I will love this baby unconditionally, and I cannot wait to have him in my arms! I love feeling the baby move, wondering what he will be like, who he will look like, what his personality will be like. All of those things have been on my mind for months now. I have felt good, and I really haven't had a hard pregnancy.
I really have no reason to complain...
BUT.... I am so ready for this little guy to make his appearance! I am done with peeing 100 times a night, I am done with the nasty heartburn that I have had for almost 10 months, I am done with the HUGE (and I mean HUGE!) swollen ankles, I am done with his little feet pushing so hard against my ribs I feel like they are going to break, I am done having little contractions and wondering "is this it?"... I am just done! I have been told a hundred times "he's the one in control and he will come when he is ready" But I am ready to hold him, love him, and become a mommy now! I am sure there will be a time when I'll miss this feeling, but I am so close and the anticipation on just waiting for his arrival is crazy! Anyway, I just wanted to vent... I want to hold my little guy and kiss on his little forehead! Come on Moose! Mommy and Daddy really want to meet you!!!

Less than one month!

We are on the final countdown! I can't believe how fast these last 9 months have flown by!!! I am really looking forward to meeting our little guy soon! His nursery is finally complete! There are still a few little things I am trying to find places for, but I really like just sitting in there, wondering what it's going to be like to have a baby around. Here is a preview! Big THANKS to my mom for making all the bedding!!! She is amazing!

We have had some amazing baby showers- Big THANKS for everyone spoiling us!!! We got some great gifts, and thankfully some much needed items that I didn't even think I would need! I have loved playing with all the little toys, and it's been fun washing a little load of tiny socks and smelling those brand new tiny diapers! I am sure they won't smell so good in a few more weeks!
Jason bought him his first 4 wheeler- It's a little big, but I guess he'll grow into it. Daddy's getting excited I think... I am excited to see Jason with this baby!
Other things that have been going on...
Cheerleading is officially over for the season. The girls did great this year! They were State Champions in our Stunt routine and they took 2nd in their 5 man stunt groups! I couldn't have been more proud of them! They really worked hard, and pulled it all together!
Work is going good. I am ready to be done though! The weather has been in the 60's here, and all I want to do is be outside doing anything! I can't wait to put this little munchin in the stroller and just go for a walk every night! I love summer in Alaska! Hopefully it's another beautiful season full of camping, fishing, and just enjoying the new addition!

33 weeks and counting!

33 weeks and only getting bigger!
I feel huge! I can't imagine what I will look like in 7 more weeks! I hope these weeks fly by, but I seem to remember everyone telling me these are the slowest weeks ever!
We have most of the nursery put together now. I finally feel like it looks like a baby's room rather than just a guest room. I am still waiting on just a few more items, before I post pictures, but I like how it looks. We are still working on a real name for this boy! We have narrowed it down to about 5, but I think we are just going to have to wait and see what fits once he is born. I am feeling good overall, still fighting the heartburn, and its getting harder and harder to get off the couch!!! But spring is almost here!!! The weather has been beautiful here the last few weeks. The sun has been out, and the snow is melting fast! when it gets above 40 degrees here, I pull out the capri's and flip flops! I love them even more now that I have maternity capri's! I have went on a few walks at night, just to get some fresh air and get this baby ready! More to come later!

Our Little Photoshoot!

We had our 3d ultra sounds today. I fell in love!!! He is adorable! He has Jason's nose, my lips, and Jason's chin. i can't believe how good we could see everything. I am amazed at how far technology has come! Anyway, here are just a few of our favorites! He had his hands in front of his face most of the time, so you have to look thru the fingers!

I can't wait to hold this little guy! 12 weeks left!!!

Baby Bump

Since none of my friends and family from back home get to see my ever growing bump...
I was getting hassled for a picture.
So here it is...

I am 24 weeks along, and as you can obviously see, he is not hiding at all!!! I know I am getting huge and I still have 3 1/2 months to go. I am eating healthy, but I swear when May gets here I'm going to be HUGE!!! He has started some new things like hiccups, rolling around in there, getting comfortable way low in my hips, and sitting on my spine, which isn't so comfortable for me... I hope spring gets here soon!!!

Pregnancy Suprises

I know that all of you parents or parents to be will understand my post, but I just had to laugh out loud tonight.

I had made beef stew in the crock pot for dinner today. I was craving homemade rolls (like rolls you get from the pie dump). So I dug out the cook books and started looking for a fast solution to help fix a craving that I knew wasn't going away! I made a huge batch and waited patently as they doubled in size. I rolled them out, and made a whole cookie sheet of rolls! I was so excited about the perfect rolls I had just made! I had another half of dough that still needed to be rolled out, so I decided to make some cinnamon rolls too! Not only am I getting the rolls I want, but now I am getting the dessert that I think I want too!!! Jason is just laughing at all the flour and dough all over the kitchen. So anyway everything comes out of the oven and smells delish! i can't wait to eat! It's like the anticipation leading up to Thanksgiving, I dig in! I get about 1/2 of the first roll down my throat and then decide, maybe that wasn't what I really wanted... I finished the other half, but Jason is going to be eating a few of those this week!!! :) the cinnamon rolls are still sitting on the counter, and I haven't really wanted to dig in for fear that I spent all that time and effort, for baby moose to decide that he doesn't really want that! The joys of being pregnant! Baby moose- Please let mommy eat what she thinks she wants! It will keep her happy!!!

Brrrrrrr!!!!!

We are freezing up here!!! The weather has taken a nose dive, and currently we are sitting at a very chilly -45 degrees below zero! I can't wait for the spring months to get here. I want some sunshine, flip flops, and this baby boy to arrive! Sometimes I wonder why I like it here?!?!
Our Holiday season was nice. Christmas day we went to some friends house for dinner. We had a great time. We love all the friends we have made up here. It makes it easier when family isn't around! Jason and I really got some good relaxation time. Santa delivered a new rocking chair for me and baby and I love it already! There were lots of presents for all of us, and we all got spoiled!!!
Baby Major AKA- "Moose" (he has a nickname now!) is doing well. We are still working on a name, but we decided on a nickname. Jason actually picked it :) Boy does he move a lot, and he has finally turned around a few times. For the longest time, he was head down and right in my hip. I swore he did that just so he could push on my ribs with his feet! He may be little but I think he is pretty strong! We are over half way! I look like I swallowed a balloon! I can't believe how fast time has flown! We are starting to get the nursery ready. Jason has all the logs ready for the crib, and I have my mom making the bedding set, I have most of the shelves and decor picked out, but we need to just put it all together.I will post pictures once we have something done! I have been working on my registry, but its hard to know what you need and what is just a waste. So if anyone has suggestions on what is a necessity please let me know!!!
